Coming Full Circle W79

This week was a reminder that I'm truly serving In the south. I've never interacted with more people with accents then this week. It seems like all week we got to hang out with some Southern Bells. I've never been called, "sweetie, honey, and baby" more in my life! They really boost my confidence. Southern old ladies are my favorite people to be around. I'm hoping one day I'll have an accent just like them.  Our friend Tina is officially on date for March! I'm so excited for her. She has progressed so much in just the short time of me being here. She loves church and has received a lot of persecution from her family for meeting with us but she has a strong faith. So pray for Tina!  I got to come full circle on my mission and go on exchanges to Highlands (my first area)! We got to visit some old people I taught. I got to see Timesha who just got baptized and the Shumway family!! I got to go to institute and see my YSA bestie I've kept in contact wit...

Hi friends! I'm still out in Kentucky having the time of my life! My week was awesome like usual! Went by way too fast. S/o Kinsee and Caleb for getting engaged. Love them!  I got to get frozen yogurt with a couple I used to teach a year ago, Alicen and Daniel! They came out to meet me and we just had so much fun catching up. I'm glad our friendship has lasted! She said I look completely different now and I don't look like a baby! Haha! I also finally got to see Sydney Shumway, my favorite person to ever live in Louisville. She's the service missionary I met 6 years ago in PG, and we reconnected a year ago in Kentucky!  When knocking doors, I felt impressed to talk to this man. He immediately signed that he was deaf. So, I signed back and told him I know sign language. He was shocked!! So, we had about a 10-15 minute convo and I learned all about him. He said he's Baptist and not interested:( I even typed it out on my phone to make sure and he didn't want to giv...

Hello friends!! We had a good week in Louisville with lots of laughs. I had my last MLC! It's been a long time coming. I've loved being on the mission leadership council. Something that I love about being a part of this leadership council compared to any other I've been on, is how much Christ is involved. Everything we do revolves around Him and trying to become a Christ-like leader. We got to give our "departing testimonies" I got up there and bore testimony about the person I'm becoming and how the Lord has had to break me in order to build me up to the person He has wanted me to become. It's been uncomfortable, that's for sure, but so rewarding. So when you feel the Lord is breaking you, it's because He has something better in store! Robert, my deaf friend in Danville that lived in the exact same apt as me in Crestwood, got baptized! He sent me some pics! So, enjoy below!  Saturday was tough. Haha don't feel bad for me. I just feel like I on...

Hello everyone, I'm officially in Louisville in the Hurstbourne area!! I was so sad to leave Lexington. but it's nice to be in a new area. The hardest goodbye was Sifa and her family on Monday. I got really close with her daughter Amina and she was crying when I had to leave. :( My last Sunday, Stephanie wore a dress I gave her. She really didn't have any dresses, so I gave her all my old ones. So cute! I've already seen a ton of people from when I first served in Louisville. Even Theresa Conner showed up to our fast + testimony meeting. If you remember her... haha  This week was my half birthday.... it was awesome but only Ella wished me a happy half birthday. Not mad at y'all... but disappointed. This is year two having to put this in my email. Just put January 5th in your calendars for next year!  My new Comp is incredible. Her name is Sister Nielsen and she's from Montana. We've knocked so many doors this week and it's felt a little slow, but she mak...
