Robbins, Macy

Well, I've been a full-time missionary for 570 days now. Who's counting? (If you don't read all of this just read my testimony below!) Thinking about taking off my badge on Wednesday makes me sad. Sorry, that was dramatic! But it's true. I've been doing this for so long, I forget normal life. I've been with the people of Kentucky for 18 months and this has been my home. Lots of mixed emotions over here.  Let's just say I went out with a bang on Sunday. Definitely top 3 most chaotic days of my mission. We had so many friends at church. So, we were trying to make sure they all had a place and everything. During church our friend Tasha looked at me and said, "I'm really gonna miss you." And a tear streamed down her face. It was so tender. Our friend who is in a wheelchair needed CNA assistance.... luckily a missionary close by used to be a CNA. So, she rushed over to help her. Another great week out in Kentucky! I got to teach and testify of Jesus Christ over and over which is why it was another great week.  I had my last zone conference. My goal was to not cry, and I failed. It's because all my friends were there! My pen pals Kaliene Talbot (from PG) and Hermana Hibbard. After I gave my departing testimony and we sang my favorite Hymn #202, I just realized how much I'll miss gathering like that, the spirit is so strong and you learn so much! Our district got to do a special musical number of Hymn #7! I have a copy of my testimony if you want it. After I gave it, President had me stay up and showed everyone my beaten-up Book of Mormon I've been using for the past year. There's 100s of sticky notes and marked verses and it looks like it's about to fall apart. He pointed out that studying is how I've come to know Christ. And that is so true!
