The Lord's Language W70

Hello friends! I got my new comp on Tuesday. Her name is also Sister Wilson! She is such a hard worker and has such a fire in her. I'm so grateful she's my companion. At transfers I got to see all my friends! Including Kaliene Talbot from high school and Sister Ebert my MTC comp! There are the best sisters in the Kentucky Louisville Mission!  We went to an African Wedding this week, went to a fancy sushi hibachi restaurant, did lots of planning, and went to a Stake Christmas music program! Thanksgivings on the mission are the best! Thanksgiving morning everyone in the mission went on a turkey trot! We ran 362 miles as a mission!! We had 4 appointments and got fed so much. The Walthers, Blodgetts, Hills, and Edith Martin took us in! I'm in the perfect ward for the holiday season. It's just so fun getting to spend Thanksgiving with random families. Missions are just so weird, but incredible.  Gloria! So, we met Gloria while doing studies at Sonic. Never thought my desire ...

Transfers are tomorrow and I'm staying for my 4th transfer! So, Sister Morse and Sister Wilson are leaving. But another Sister Wilson is taking their spot hahah. It's sad to see them go, especially since I've been with Sister Morse since July. We are all really close and an iconic trio is splitting up. Ethan, our 13 year old friend that I've been talking about, got baptized and confirmed this week! He's a gem. Our Elder's Quorum President baptized him and has been the best fellowship for Ethan. So many people came! His baptism went great, and he was beaming afterwards and just kept saying, "I feel so good" and "I don't think I would've got baptized if it wasn't for y'all." Before his interview he came with a piece of paper, and he wrote down everybody that he wanted to have talk at his baptism. And during his interview he talked about the whole Plan of Salvation. On Sunday he came to a New member fireside and offered to say th...

Jesus Is Real W68

Hey Friends! We had a great week! I'll start off with a cool experience we had. We were teaching our friend at the park on exchanges, and we decided to walk around and try talking to people. I felt prompted to talk to this man, so we did! His name was Rafael. He was so cool and told us stopping him was exactly what he needed. We had a lesson with him on Saturday and he opened up to us! He said he usually rides the electric scooters at the park but for some reason it wasn't connecting to his phone the day he met us and now he knows why! So he could grow closer to God. He loved the Book of Mormon and wants to continue meeting. Even if it's scary to talk to strangers at the park, it's worth it!  Elizabeth, who I taught in my last area, got baptized last week. She asked for her records to be removed over 30 years ago. During that time, she knew the church was true and felt guilty. But she finally entered back onto the covenant path last Saturday. Timesha, a girl I taught in...

Charlotte got baptized!! She's a 10-year-old girl we've been teaching for a little while. Her dad baptized her. He was baptized about 2 months ago and now got to baptize his daughter. It was so special. I got to give the baptismal talk! I will always remember the feeling I got when I was looking at her in the font. Happiest feeling!  Ethan and Stephanie bore their testimonies in sacrament meeting. The non-members were carrying, I guess! Nothing better than hearing your friends bear their testimonies. Ethan told everyone he was getting baptized on the 19th!! He also came to Charlotte's baptism, as well as Sifae and her whole family came to Charlotte's baptism because.... Sifae, Gloria, and Adidjah are on date to be baptized for December 10th!!! We had the most incredible lesson with them and when we invited them to be baptized, they didn't hesitate to say yes! This family has been being prepared for the gospel and are so solid. We brought a member and as soon as we c...

Joseph Smith In Kentucky! W66

Hello friends!! Happy Halloween! My heart is so full of gratitude for this work, the people, Kentucky, and the Lord!  Remember Ethan, I was gonna update y'all on?! Well, we had a lesson with him on Thursday and it was perfect. We had it in a member's home named the Kotter's and they live on this island thing so look at the pics below. We taught the restoration, and his inactive dad and his dad's girlfriend were there. It was so powerful to teach about Joseph Smith to him because he's 13 and searching for the truth just like Joseph was! He accepted a baptismal date for November the 20th and is so excited! He said he felt so good inside when we are teaching and loves learning. He said he knows he belongs at church. What kind of 13-year-old says that?  We also got to go to McDonald's with 2 teenage girls from the Congo! They have been struggling with self-worth and we got to testify of their divine nature. Afterwards they said, "wow we really needed that, I fe...
