Facebook Is The Lord's Tool! W48

Hello!! We went to the Zoo on Monday with all the sisters in our Zone! We then had a sleepover and did a Marshallese exchange with the sisters there in Evansville, Indiana. It was cool to see the Marshallese people there! They've almost got a branch set up and the work is moving fast! I got to go on exchanges with Sister Hanks! Fun fact me and Sister Hanks were actually in the same EFY group like 6 years ago!! We had a lesson with our friend Tiffany who is super sweet and and very soft spoken. We were teaching her how to pray so we had her pray at the end. She started off really normal then she eventually said "thank you that I could spend another day in this world. Even though people are dying, getting shot, killed, and even getting ....stabbbed....to death!" She's saying all of this slowly with her eyes open staring at us. I could feel her looking at us the entire time haha. It was both kind of scary and really funny.  Let me tell you how incredible the tool of Face...

"This is just the beginning" W47

Another great week! Diane got baptized yesterday!! I got permission to call her, and she was so happy. I taught her in my first area, then she moved to Florida, she was able to get married and baptized this weekend. She said this is the happiest she's ever been. She said, "now I get to do baptisms for my ancestors at the temple! This is just the beginning!" They invited me to their sealing. So, if anybody wants to come to Davenport Florida with me June 2023, let me know. She is going to be the most incredible member and I knew from the moment I met her that our paths were supposed to cross.  Okay listen to this! We got a referral last week for a lady named Terra living in the middle of nowhere Indiana. We were a little nervous to go but we went anyway. Turns out she was a member and was baptized when she was 8 but stopped going to church when she was 12. Now she's like 40! She said between all those years she has been to dozens of churches but just keeps getting drawn...

Hello friends!!! Can I just say how grateful I am for each of you? Best support group out there. This week was an incredible week of teaching. We also got to watch Bridget's baptism! Sister Ebert taught her, and we got to see her make her first covenant. So special! Also, my mom met Sister Shumway (fav member from first area) in real life! So, they took a pic together! So cool to see my fam + mission together.  Okay first off, I needa give a shout out to Elder Caleb Campbell (who goes home today)! We found the sweetest Swahili family out here in Owensboro, believe it or not. He translated for us, and we were able to give them a Book of Mormon in their native language. Him and his companion called in from Tanzania and took their own personal time to teach the Restoration! It was so cool to feel the same spirit when the restoration is taught in Swahili or English. We taught the most lessons I have ever taught in one week. It felt so good to have so many chances to testify and tell wh...

God Cares About Karen Work W45

We had a Karen Sacrament meeting where everything was in Karen this week! We had a pretty good turn out and 40 people showed up (about 30 nonmembers!) I even got to bear my testimony in Karen!! Listen to this incredible miracle. The day before church we were at a Karen birthday party. We met this guy there who said he was visiting from Georgia and had met with missionaries before. We invited him to church, and he came the next day. But get this... he went up first to bear his testimony we were all a little scared. Then he taught the whole restoration to everyone and the priesthood. He bore such a solid testimony and testified that this is Christ's church on the earth. For the first solid minute I was scared because I thought he was going against the church since I don't know Karen but turns out it was a miracle! He was baptized in 2015 and was taught in English in Georgia. He only comes to Owensboro once a year and just so happened to come this weekend and just so happened to b...
