Facebook Is The Lord's Tool! W48

Hello!! We went to the Zoo on Monday with all the sisters in our Zone! We then had a sleepover and did a Marshallese exchange with the sisters there in Evansville, Indiana. It was cool to see the Marshallese people there! They've almost got a branch set up and the work is moving fast! I got to go on exchanges with Sister Hanks! Fun fact me and Sister Hanks were actually in the same EFY group like 6 years ago!!

We had a lesson with our friend Tiffany who is super sweet and and very soft spoken. We were teaching her how to pray so we had her pray at the end. She started off really normal then she eventually said "thank you that I could spend another day in this world. Even though people are dying, getting shot, killed, and even getting ....stabbbed....to death!" She's saying all of this slowly with her eyes open staring at us. I could feel her looking at us the entire time haha. It was both kind of scary and really funny.

Let me tell you how incredible the tool of Facebook was this week. On Monday I got a message from a cute girl named Amie that was about my age. She said she was looking for a church and wanted to message me to see if the church I attended was also in Lexington. I set her up with the missionaries there and we had a lesson over zoom on Sunday! She is so sweet and the study went incredible! I also put something on my story asking if people wanted a picture of Jesus. This lady named Beth responded that I had never met in person before. We got to go to her work and we gave her all 7 pictures of Jesus we had. She was so sweet and it meant a lot to her. We are going back to start teaching her!

But listen to this one.... I just randomly started texting people inviting them to church on Facebook. Almost everyone I messaged were interested in coming. 2 people came from Facebook for their first time yesterday. Shaquanna came and loved it. Even when they were talking about temple endowments she kept saying, "amen." I invited Doug and he showed up as well! He's got the coolest face tattoos. After sacrament meeting a member ran up to him and gave him the biggest hug. I was shocked. Turns out they've known each other for forever. Doug always knew Jordan (the member) went to church but had never gone with him. Jordan said it was the best surprise to see him there and now he's going to be on him. Doug went to priesthood meeting, rose his hand, and participated too! After church he said my persistence got him there and he made sure to tell Jordan that Macy from Facebook got him there. He said he'll be there next week!

Other than that, this week was humid, and we taught some incredible lessons. We had so many Karen kids show up for our volleyball nights we are doing now! Our friend EhShee decided to be baptized in August! I love being a missionary and I can feel God's love for these people here in Owensboro.
