It's All Over My Hand!! W65

Happy fall y'all! All week I was convinced I was living in a southern fall hallmark movie. It is so beautiful here and the weather has been perfect.  Let me just start off strong with one of the funniest nights of my mission. It all started during our lesson with this new family. We were teaching them and when the mom looked away, me and all my comps looked at each other and said, "it smells like poop!!" We thought it was one of the kids. And the whole lesson it smelled sooo bad! I stood up from teaching the kids the plan of salvation and I looked at my hand and there was poop all over it!!! Me and my comps were laughing so hard, and I put so much hand sanitizer on. We finally realized my comp stepped in a huge pile of poo and it was all over her shoe. We threw her shoe outside and continued the lesson. Sifae, who we were teaching was dying. She said, "when y'all came in it smelt bad, but I didn't say anything." We had a good laugh about that one.  So le...

Fall In Kentucky>Being Sick W64

Well, the time has come. After having almost perfect health on my mission. I was soooo sick allll week and it is miserable trying to do missionary work while being sick!! So, this week has been kind of a blur, but I'll try and tell you all the good parts I do remember!  Our friend Charlotte decided to be baptized on November 6th! We are going to throw her a party and paint her nails before. She is excited and keeps telling everyone. Pray that her brother Gabi will make the name decision:) As a mission we are really focusing on inviting friends to be baptized for 2 weeks. So, we pushed ourselves and had 4 spirit lead invitations. They are praying about dates so pray for them. My Comps are such power houses and I love teaching with them!! Bonita came to church and loveddd it! During 2nd hour they were introducing all of our new friends at church and she looked at us and said, "wowww you sisters are really workin'!"  We had the best lesson with our new friend Sifae and h...

Back To My Roots W63

SUCH A COOL WEEK!!!!  First off, we had new missionary training on Tuesday in Crestwood and MLC in Louisville. My old areas! So, President gave us permission to sleepover with the Highland sisters and visit all my old friends.  I got to visit Linda! One of my fav people I've taught. She's doing so good, and it felt like old times being in her home. I got to see Kenny and if you remember Kenny you know that was a long awaited reunion. The Verdonis! One of my fav member families!! We got to take pics with them by the temple and Liv has grown so much. I also got to visit Kevin! The first baptism I saw on my mission. He has grown so much and was telling me all about conference, passing the sacrament, the priesthood, the prophet, and his Book of Mormon reading. He's a completely different person!! It was so fun to see everyone! Can't wait to introduce them to my family. Then we gotta play volleyball with the U of L YSA! Which was my old stomping grounds.  Larry is now ordain...

Almost To Tennessee W62

Image
Christmas feeling week with General Conference and Zone Conference. We were definitely spiritually uplifted, and I've had a lot of answers to my questions. Since our district is all French Elders, they asked us to sing Come Thou Fount in FRENCH. We actually did better than we thought so let me know if you want a copy of that. We even did the whole Soprano Alto thing. We got to be with a lot of missionaries this week. I'm always so inspired by them! I got to go all the way down to Monticello, Kentucky which is right next to Tennessee for exchanges with the Somerset Sisters!  We had a cool miracle in between Conference sessions. We went and visited some inactive members. We visited somebody named Comfort. She hasn't been to church in years but just so happened to get ready today and show up at the church. Nobody was there because of Conference and when she got home, we showed up! She said it was perfect timing and she wants to start coming back to church. We shared a message,...
