Almost To Tennessee W62
Christmas feeling week with General Conference and Zone Conference. We were definitely spiritually uplifted, and I've had a lot of answers to my questions.
Since our district is all French Elders, they asked us to sing Come Thou Fount in FRENCH. We actually did better than we thought so let me know if you want a copy of that. We even did the whole Soprano Alto thing. We got to be with a lot of missionaries this week. I'm always so inspired by them! I got to go all the way down to Monticello, Kentucky which is right next to Tennessee for exchanges with the Somerset Sisters!
We had a cool miracle in between Conference sessions. We went and visited some inactive members. We visited somebody named Comfort. She hasn't been to church in years but just so happened to get ready today and show up at the church. Nobody was there because of Conference and when she got home, we showed up! She said it was perfect timing and she wants to start coming back to church. We shared a message, and she started crying! I love when the Lord puts you in the right place at the right time.
We also had a really powerful experience with a man we taught named Delbert. Who's actually in the Bluegrass Sisters' area so we passed him off. We felt prompted to teach the Plan of Salvation. He opened up to us about how his Dad had died. I could feel his dad's presence as we taught, and I got to testify of that! I know he felt it too!
We also had a meal appt on a farm outside of Lexington. It felt like I was in a fall hallmark movie.
Time and time again I'm reminded that God is aware of me and the people of Lexington. I'm so grateful to have a living prophet on the earth who talks to the Lord. So much peace is brought to me because of the covenants I have made. I'm so grateful to be bound to the Savior and offer those same covenants to our friends.
