Are You Amish? W13

Image
Hello party people!! The leaves are changing, and Halloween is coming!! I hit my 3 months and it has been the fastest/slowest 3 months of my life. Time is wack out here. While we were driving home from an appointment on Wednesday we drove past this lady and this man looked like he was interrogating her a little bit. Once I looked a little closer, I realized I knew the lady! I had met her at the food pantry about a month ago, her name is Chrissy. I told my companions, but they kept driving. I said hold on, I think we actually need to turn around. We got out of the car and talked with her. She was surprised we recognized her and opened up to us about some hard things going on. We held hands and prayed, and she gave us hugs. We gave her a Book of Mormon and our number, and we were able to visit her again this week. So grateful that the Lord put both of us in that position.  We had to drop quite a bit of people this week:/ My favorite girl Diane moved but we referred her to some missio...

Missions>Disneyland W12

Image
Okay, missions are better than Disneyland and I'm going to tell you why! My family is in Disneyland, and I was having a little fomo.  Luckily, God is awesome and gave me the best week ever so I could realize this is exactly where I am supposed to be. First off! We put Kevin on baptismal date!! It's so fun to see him grow and I'm so grateful I've been there the whole way. He told us he gets the chills whenever he feels the spirit and that's how he knows it's true. He makes me so happy and I'm so grateful we found him. All glory to God. The best lesson I think I've ever had happened on Thursday with our good friend Jinan. She gave me the biggest hug and told me I was her angel. At first, she was so skeptical about meeting with missionaries now she has been teaching her friends and family the plan of salvation and she wants to be baptized!!! She showed up to church on Sunday and it was stake conference and she ate it up! Our mission president introduced him...

Kentucky Clouds W10

Image
Hello y'all!! I hope you are all doing great, it's been another week out here in Kentucky! We handed out a Hindi Book of Mormon, our house was blessed twice⁰, saw so many beautiful sunsets, called some of our friends to repentance, and danced in the rain! I'm also convinced Kentucky has the most beautiful clouds. We just started street contacting on campus and that has helped me realize that I think I lost all my social skills. People your own age can be intimidating especially when they think you believe in polygamy and worship a man named Mormon. So sometimes I stumble on my words, but oh well guess I got to get used to the uncomfortable. The APs told me I'm gonna get Instagram soon so look out for me on there. ;)  This week during institute we talked a lot about the themes in all the conference talks. God's love was a big theme throughout a lot of talks. I had this thought that I wanted to share. On some of my hardest days I would pray to feel God's love and ...

Can This Week Get Any Better? W9

Image
Okay, other than sister Lance leaving me, this week was epic! So many amazing lessons, Timesha on baptismal date, conference with our friends and mission president, meeting new people, nerf wars at the ysa activity and eating 4 for 4s!! I'm so grateful for the hard times in my mission because they make the good days 1000x better. We watched conference with Jennifer and her rat died. Luckily, she cremated her rat so she could show us his ashes. She also had a clay impression of the rat's paws that she let us stroke. RIP ginger. Timesha!! Y'all!! She's killing it, she decided to be baptized November 11th because that is the anniversary of her mom dying. Usually that is a day of mourning, but she wants that day to be a happy day instead because she knows her mom will be proud of her!! She told us we were her best friends and before she started meeting with us, she was in the dark and now she's in the light!! I'm so grateful that God has allowed me to have a front r...
