W.O.W. W35

Hello everyone!!  First off can I just say I love serving in Kentucky even if it is the #1 state with the most smokers:/ We had some pretty cool experiences this week. I really saw the Lord's timing in a lot of experiences. We have this friend who is a very heavy smoker but wants to be baptized and we have been trying to teach her the Word of Wisdom and Law of Chastity, but it has not been working out and we knew she would not be willing to give up smoking . It's been about a month or so now, so we were going to stop teaching her, but we decided to check up on her and she was in the hospital! Anyways long story short we asked her if she would like to receive a blessing, she said yes so, we brought some men in our ward to come by. They gave her a powerful blessing and prayed that she would be able to keep harmful substances out of her body, so she won't be sick anymore. A thought popped into my head to take advantage of everyone here and just teach her the W.O.W. So, I may h...

Fist Bumping Apostles W34

Image
You will never believe where I am writing this email. Picture this, it's 12:01am and me and my companion are sitting on the bathroom floor during a Tornado. We got a call about 10 min ago from our mission president telling us to get to the closest bathroom ASAP. Well, here we are in the bathroom, I just made my companion close her eyes while I peed, but I thought what better time to write a group email than right now?  Update, I have a new companion, her name is Sister Farnsworth! We just got a new area on top of our own, so we have been busy. 4 hours of church.... I don't think I've ever been busier than I have this week! Elder Renlund and Elder Kearon came to our mission and gave the most incredible testimonies. I was blown away and it was definitely what I needed. I think after fist bumping an apostle my testimony of Apostles and prophets has never been stronger.  Photos:  1. Sister Farnsworth   2. Sat by some recent YSA converts for E. Renlund 3. Best Week Eva W33

Well this week may have been my favorite week of my whole mission. Well, I don't know if I can say that because they have all been good in their own way. But I don't think I have ever laughed more than this week. I felt so much joy and gratitude! Big news my sister Kinsie is pregnant! I'm bout to be the funnest aunt ever. Michael got baptized! Kevin got the priesthood! Transfers are coming up and I'm getting a new companion. I also just got news from my president that we are taking over the APs area! So now we have 2 large Utah wards! I'm stoked, we will be busy! After 4 and a half months of being with Hermana Massey she is leaving. I'm actually devastated. The dynamic duo comedy show is being split up. I could write a novel about the things I've experienced with that girl. I cannot say enough good things about her. I can't wait for seven peak summer 2023.  One fun fact about Crestwood is that it's a pretty small town. There is not a day where we don...

People Are Prepared! W32

Hellooooo!!! Such a solid week out here in Kentucky. We found out that Elder Dale G. Renlund will be coming to Crestwood on the 19th! Between Zone Conference, getting rejected (A LOT), service, bearing testimony, teaching, exchanges, and baptisms we were having a great time over here.  We had the most special experience on Saturday. So, my cousin Sweden (mini me) got baptized on Saturday and I was sad I couldn't go! But we still had a baptism to attend on Saturday, we went to our friend Ethan's baptism and invited our friend Michael. It was such a special experience. Ethan was so happy and was beaming. I love baptisms!!! Afterwards we asked Michael If he wanted to have a lesson. He agreed and we went into a classroom at the church which had the prettiest view of the temple right next door. While sitting there we taught Michael about the importance of being baptized with the priesthood. He said, "Wow that totally makes sense" and he accepted our invitation to be baptiz...
