Can This Week Get Any Better? W9
Okay, other than sister Lance leaving me, this week was epic! So many amazing lessons, Timesha on baptismal date, conference with our friends and mission president, meeting new people, nerf wars at the ysa activity and eating 4 for 4s!! I'm so grateful for the hard times in my mission because they make the good days 1000x better. We watched conference with Jennifer and her rat died. Luckily, she cremated her rat so she could show us his ashes. She also had a clay impression of the rat's paws that she let us stroke. RIP ginger.
Timesha!! Y'all!! She's killing it, she decided to be baptized November 11th because that is the anniversary of her mom dying. Usually that is a day of mourning, but she wants that day to be a happy day instead because she knows her mom will be proud of her!! She told us we were her best friends and before she started meeting with us, she was in the dark and now she's in the light!! I'm so grateful that God has allowed me to have a front row seat in watching her journey. Her testimony has helped me so much.
Next is Denise! Holy smokes this was the most spirit filled lesson I have ever been in. After trying for a while, we finally got in contact with her. She opened up to us about so much and had lots of questions. We were all crying. She is so amazing. We sang for her "I Am a Child of God" and she loved it. I of course mouthed the words because I didn't want to take away from the spirit. ;) I left that lesson so happy. I get to do stuff like this for another year and 4 months?!?! Even though time is very daunting out here, I'm grateful.
Another miracle! We went to visit this lady Chloe who we've never met and when we knocked on her door a man opened it and said that she had moved. Before he closed the door, we had Brownies, so we offered him some. When we were out of the apartment, I felt like we should leave our number because you never know!! He reached out to us and said he'd actually love to learn about our religion and Jesus Christ! God works in mysterious ways! I'm so grateful for the spirit, he's so awesome!
