"This is just the beginning" W47

Another great week! Diane got baptized yesterday!! I got permission to call her, and she was so happy. I taught her in my first area, then she moved to Florida, she was able to get married and baptized this weekend. She said this is the happiest she's ever been. She said, "now I get to do baptisms for my ancestors at the temple! This is just the beginning!" They invited me to their sealing. So, if anybody wants to come to Davenport Florida with me June 2023, let me know. She is going to be the most incredible member and I knew from the moment I met her that our paths were supposed to cross. 

Okay listen to this! We got a referral last week for a lady named Terra living in the middle of nowhere Indiana. We were a little nervous to go but we went anyway. Turns out she was a member and was baptized when she was 8 but stopped going to church when she was 12. Now she's like 40! She said between all those years she has been to dozens of churches but just keeps getting drawn back to The Church because of the truth. She saw an ad on Come Unto Christ and filled it out for us to stop by. Since her records aren't here, we would've never found her unless she reached out. We taught her the restoration and the whole time she just kept saying, "that's right." She remembered so much and is so excited to start progressing on the covenant path again. God is so aware of Terra. 

Ciera decided to be baptized! We asked her to pray about baptism and she said I already know that's my path! So we set a date with her on July 16th!!! Then we had her close the lesson with a prayer and she said, "Please bless my missionary girls and keep em safe." She is somebody I know will be my friend the rest of my life. We are so similar and I knew it when she offered me a coke zero. 

So many happy things happened this week! We got to take pictures with new Karen friends! Went to MLC. New friends came to church. Our Swahili friend Samba came and loved it even though he didn't understand a word. The whole ward just kept saying, "Jambo!" Our friend Tiffany came too, and it was her first time ever coming to a church! Also, we went to a house far out of town. They invited us to sit on their porch with them and in the thickest accent he said, "let me move my gun." He had to move the gun so I could sit down hahah. I hope my English isn't bad, but everyone says things like, "over in them trees" or "he done call me 5 min ago." I love it here!
