LDS Barbie Dolls W76

Hello everyone, I'm officially in Louisville in the Hurstbourne area!! I was so sad to leave Lexington. but it's nice to be in a new area. The hardest goodbye was Sifa and her family on Monday. I got really close with her daughter Amina and she was crying when I had to leave. :( My last Sunday, Stephanie wore a dress I gave her. She really didn't have any dresses, so I gave her all my old ones. So cute! I've already seen a ton of people from when I first served in Louisville. Even Theresa Conner showed up to our fast + testimony meeting. If you remember her... haha

This week was my half birthday.... it was awesome but only Ella wished me a happy half birthday. Not mad at y'all... but disappointed. This is year two having to put this in my email. Just put January 5th in your calendars for next year!

My new Comp is incredible. Her name is Sister Nielsen and she's from Montana. We've knocked so many doors this week and it's felt a little slow, but she makes it so fun. We do calf raises when we wait for people to answer the door so we will have big calves because only about 3% have answered!

Get this! We are teaching a 96-year-old woman named Ellen. She is already my favorite and probably the reason I'm here. She drives by herself, lives alone, remembers everything, and calls us her LDS barbie dolls. I got to sit by her at church this week and she was cracking all kinds of jokes. She is going to get baptized soon but needs to find a new apartment first. So, pray she'll find one soon. I'll put a pic of her below.

Some highlights! Olive Garden with Diane who's a returning member! She's only been back to church once and we had the best convos at dinner. Mexican restaurant with Amie! She's the one I found on Facebook that was taught by the YSA missionaries in Lexington. She's from Louisville so she was home, and we got to go out to lunch. We found 2 new people named Rocky + Ashley! They just let us right in and we got to introduce the Book of Mormon. They are super interested! And somebody named Scott randomly came to the church! So we are hoping to teach him!

A cool connection to the Louisville 2nd ward! Our Ward mission leader was taught by my grandma (on my mom's side) in Kindergarten. He also worked with my grandpa (on my dad's side) in young mens. He knows both sides and all my aunts and uncles. Kinda cool!

"In contrast to the institutions of the world, which teach us to know something, the gospel of Jesus Christ challenges us to become something." (President Oaks The Challenge to Become 2000) this quote has been my motto for the week as I try to become who the Lord needs me to! Read this talk!!!

Please reach out if you need anything. Love y'all!!!
