Ethan In White Again! W75
Hello wonderful people!! Here's some updates!
On Thursday we went to the temple in Louisville with Ethan! It was so nice being in the temple and doing baptisms, it's been about a year. I felt the spirit so strong, especially when Ethan went to do Baptisms. I love each of the kids in the ward and it was so fun to spend the night with them. We got to drive with the Blodgett family. It was a blast! We got DQ after and laughed the whole way home. We didn't get back till 11:30pm! (Look below for the happiest pic of us @ the temple).
A couple of you have told me you've done the math and I should probably be home from my mission now....because I started in July 2021 and now it's 2023! Which is crazy. But I decided to stay out an extra transfer. Because why not? I only get to serve a youth mission once. My MTC comp and the sisters from the MTC go home on Wednesday. It's weird to see them go but I know God needs me here 6 more weeks. I still got lots of things to learn and things to do!! I can't believe I'm entering into my last transfer.
So, for the last 6 weeks.... I'm headed back to Louisville! Where it all started. After 6 months here the Lord needs me somewhere else. It was so sad to say bye to everyone. I've definitely got the closest to the members and friends here. I was NOT expecting to leave. President said when he called me to tell me the news, "Well Sister Robbins, I've put you in so many unique situations and I'm about to do it again, are you ready?" I said yes of course. He gave me some specific instructions for this area and the sisters. I'm stoked. I hope I can be an instrument in the Lord's hand to further the work here.
This week was a SERVICE week! There were 2 families whose pipes froze from the storm and their houses flooded. So, we helped with the water damage there. The first house, the basement was so bad, but before we left, we got so much water out! I had a fun moment where I just thought of everyone that showed up willing to help. I'm so grateful for my membership in this church. It truly feels like a family.
Kelsey is doing so well! She's loving having the gospel back in her life. We had a FHE with one of the families in the ward and had a great lesson going over the restoration. It's been so fun to watch her come back. I'm grateful I've been a part of her journey.
Highlights! We made gingerbread houses with our district and played volleyball. I may have spiked on a few people nbd. I also went on exchanges with Sister Brunt and haven't laughed so hard in a long time. We made a missionary work out video, let me know if you want a copy. I ate so much good food, especially this BBQ place twice.
