It's Been 11 Years W58
What a week!
On Tuesday, we headed to Louisville to pick up our trainee. As soon as we got in the room, Sister Morse and I looked at each other and said the blonde one is ours. Sure enough, Sister Wilson was with us. She is such a solid missionary. She's from Seattle Washington. She danced at UVU, worked at a juice bar, and we are just so similar!
Amie! Okay so Amie I found on Facebook back in June in my last area. She has been being taught by the YSA sisters in Lexington. Then I got transferred to Lexington and we decided we should meet up! So, I got to finally meet her in person on p-day. We got tacos and went shopping and just talked about the church the whole time. She has such a testimony already and wants to be baptized! She's kind of struggling with the adversary attacking her right now, so pray for Amie. So cool how God let us meet each other in person. Facebook is incredible.
Brian came to church for the first time in 11 years! He was beaming. It was so fun to see his whole family sitting there. He was nodding his head and contributed in Sunday School! We were able to put his girlfriend, that we are teaching, Stephanie on baptismal date. This was definitely one of the most powerful lessons I've been in. We brought a convert named Brother Thornton. He is a powerhouse. He was BOLD and it was needed. Everything he said was with the spirit and I learned a lot from his teaching. We are excited for Stephanie and her decision. Her whole family has brought me so much joy.
We have been bonding with the Swahili Branch and the Elders and a senior couple have been asking our mission president to make us Swahili Sister. Hahah wish that'll happen, but I don't think I could eat fufu all day. Anyways, the Elders felt impressed to have us start teaching a Swahili family. Their dad just got baptized on Sunday and now we are working with the kids to help them prepare for baptism!
We found an inactive family this week with 5 of the cutest daughters. They have two girls that need to get baptized and the mom said we could teach them the lessons before they get baptized, hopefully in the next month or so. We taught them the restoration and they all sat up on their barstools listening to us. I'll send a picture of them!
We went straight to District Council after a service project, and I forgot shoes so enjoy the picture of my fit down below. Sister Wilson cut my hair this week. It was her first time, haha, it's a little uneven but now it's a lot shorter and healthy! We also brought Sister Wilson to Texas Roadhouse for her first time, and she loved it. Lincoln and Brie, our favorite workers came and sat by us for a while and told us all the tea going around.
Solid week!
Me and my Comps love receiving mail of any kind so if you ever feeling inclined to mail us something please do:)
