"I Don't Know What Just Happened" W60
Solid solid week out here in Kentucky !! There were a few of those days where I thought, "I could be a missionary forever!!"
First off Ciera made it to the temple! I wasn't able to go but Sister Ebert sent me some good pics. My friend Timesha is on date too for Oct 8th! Stephanie our most progressing person had a baby this week. I'll put pics of everything below. Such exciting things!
We had some Spirit-filled lessons this week that are worth mentioning so I can hopefully go back and read and remember the feeling. I wish all of you could've been there!!
Kenneth + Risi we got to teach them the Restoration. At first Risi, Kenneth's wife was walking around making food but as soon as we started Testifying of the first vision she was glued. Right before we left Kenneth said, "I don't know what just happened, but y'all are doing something right. That was powerful. Just wow." He was wiping his eyes when he said that. The spirit is so powerful, and I know it touched them. After that lesson I felt the most joy I've ever felt. Me and my companions were giddy for the next hour.
Shanic! We finally were able to have a lesson with her. We felt prompted to teach her the Plan of Salvation. About halfway through the lesson I looked at her whiteboard she had and it said, "God what is your plan for us?" Towards the end I pointed that out to her and testified that this was the plan for her. She said this was an answer to her prayer. I'm telling you what, nothing is better than testifying to someone.
Mike + Lori! Another powerful restoration lesson! Mike is blind and before we could even invite him to pray about the message, he said, "you know this could be the path that I'm supposed to be on. But I really wanna pray about this and see if this is what I'm supposed to pursue". He's really epic and so is Lori. She just kept saying, "I believe."
Phillip! This is the guy that came to church last week. We got to have a lesson with him and our fav members. Introducing the Book of Mormon is always my fav!
On exchanges, the neighbors got in such a big fight that 3 police cops came! It was intense. Then on Sunday at church a man came up to the Bluegrass Sisters and said he wanted to get baptized. Well, they found out later he is a pedophile and now we aren't allowed to go to the church. The Elders walked around yesterday and found a binder of his and random stuff. There were lots of unlocked windows in the church and even the attic was open. Creepy! Prayers up for the safety of the Lexington missionaries.
