"God Told Me I Should Listen To You" W57
Okay I'm just gonna start it out strong because it was a solid week. This was probably one of my favorite lessons I've ever been in. Do y'all remember Jerrie Moon that I talked about in my email 2x ago? She's the one that lived in apt 705 that we randomly knocked on. Anyways, we had an incredible lesson with her and taught her the restoration. She immediately started telling us that she feels like so much is missing from the Bible. We introduced the Book of Mormon, and she was so willing to listen. During our lesson she said, "Before you came, I prayed, and God told me I should listen because you two would answer my questions." Wow. I felt the spirit so strong. At the end she told us we answered all her questions, and she knew our message was true. She said I asked God if you were true messengers and he said yes and that's why you are here. She has been prepared and is so in tune with the spirit. We got in the elevator and felt so much joy. We are messengers of truth! How cool is it that we can be instruments in answering these people's deepest questions. I'm telling you what, there is nothing like being a missionary for the only true church.
On Sunday we had a whole bench full of friends. Stephanie and her family came and Shanic and her family too. It felt so good after 4 weeks of not having a friend at church. I felt so much joy sitting there. I sat by Stephanie during relief society. They asked us to share examples of people that give their heartfelt all. Stephanie raised her hand and gave us a shout out. She said, "the sister missionaries are an example to me of giving their heartfelt all because they introduced me to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and now, I'm learning so much." My heart was so full. I feel like I know their family even though we just met. It's the coolest feeling as a missionary. I just recognize them. I love little Serenity, Claire, and Wayne.
Well, it's the end of a transfer again! Wow! This transfer has probably been the most influential transfer of my mission, honestly. I have never worked harder, been in more uncomfortable situations, and grown. Can't believe we can do so much in just 6 weeks. I know we now have progressing people because we strived to be obedient, faithful, and work hard. I'm grateful Ether 12:6 became a reality this transfer, "For ye receive no witness until after the trial of your faith."
Me and my comp Sister Morse are staying and training! We will still be STLs and maybe SMLs. I told my president he can't take me out of social media because he will break my 8 transfer streak. I'm very nervous to train but it's a new adventure. We got to teach seminary this week and I'm so grateful I never had early morning seminary. We got to clean an apartment in the poorest condition I've ever seen. There was broken glass, mold, and cigarette butts everywhere. Me and my comp somehow did it and now have some crazy stories to tell. Also, there was a bed bug on my foot during one of our lessons. Ahhh, gotta love Kentucky.
