Apartment 705 W55

Here's all of my Kentucky things that happened to me this week: 34 bug bites in the span of 20 minutes, ate fried chicken 3 times in the span of 2 days, had 2 lessons while people were smoking, got called "baby" + "honey" 5000x, and had my ear talked off a couple times. I was definitely called to this mission for the people. They are my entertainment all day, every day. There's not a day when I'm not shocked by the way people live. They make me laugh.

Cool experiences this week!
I'm doing a 40 day fast where I've felt like I should act on every single prompting. We met a lot of people unexpectedly this week, the Lord was definitely putting us where we needed to be. Everyone kept saying we came at the right time.

•I got to use my sign language on exchanges when we went to a cute city called Danville. There was this deaf man and we got to sign with him!
•When I was on exchanges in our area, we went to an apartment complex with 12 levels. I looked at the girl I was with and said pick a number 1-12 then 1-20 we ended up picking 705. Which is my lucky number because it is my birthday. Well, we went and knocked the door and met the sweetest lady named Jerrie Moon. She was interested!! She asked us to come back and said she really needed us at this time. Can't wait to see what the future holds with her.
•There was a lady named Virginia that we helped out of nowhere move all of her furniture. She said we were angels sent from God!
•We also met a couple named Donna + Ronny. She said we came at the perfect time because earlier that day her husband had told her he wanted to be baptized before he died, he has terminal cancer. We got her number and set something up!
•We gave a Gospel of Jesus Christ pamphlet to this little boy not thinking much about it. About 10 minutes later we walked past a lady's car and saw her reading it! She told us her son gave it to her and we got her number, and she wants to meet with us. She said she needed that right then and we came at the right time.

Last week there was a huge lightning storm, and our power went out! We went to the Bluegrass Sisters apt and right when we set down our stuff the Co² alarm went off!! We had to sleep in a different zone and didn't get to bed till like 11:30pm (which is late here)! One of the sisters that we stayed with trained me at my job in PG! What a small world.

Ciera got a calling! She's a primary teacher. I'm so happy for her:) Interviews with our president this week helped me really realize that I'm here for a reason. He has had such an influence on my life and my mission.

Sharon the cutest 9-year-old got baptized this week! Also, the Swahili elders had 3 baptisms this week and I got asked to speak last minute! About 1 minute before I had to go up one of them turned around and asked me to speak. Well, I thought I did a pretty good job for it being so last minute!
