Year Mark + Ciera's Baptism W52

Hello people! TODAY IS MY YEAR MARK AS A MISSIONARY!!! Can you believe I've been a missionary for a year? I did not think I would make it this far. The Savior has helped me every single day. This could've been the most extreme to extreme week of my life. I had the best day of my mission and possibly the worst. Let me tell you all about it!

So, we had transfers on Tuesday, and I got my new companion, Sister Morse. She's from Texas and served at the Mormon Battalion. She's such a good companion for me. I also saw Kaliene Talbot from Pleasant Grove. It was so weird to see a little piece of home here in Kentucky. At transfers, my president pulled me into his office. He said, "I just want to make sure you will still speak to me Sister Robbins after transfer news." He said it was the hardest decision he made this transfer to take me out of Owensboro. Especially when we had so many friends progressing and getting baptized. He did say he has never seen an area progress so fast in just 2 transfers during his whole mission. So, me and Sister Ebert must've been doing something right. It was all the Lord though we were just blessed to be together.

For the next days leading up to the Baptism we drove back to Owensboro and split up the area. It was fun to be in a quad. We worked hard and handed out some Book of Mormons and found new people. It was sad to say bye to everyone, but definitely a fun few days.

On Thursday was Ciera's baptism. She came walking in with her Louis Vuitton bag and boujee sunglasses. It went so smoothly. So many of her family members came! There were so many people there to support her. Me and Sister Ebert got to be witnesses for her! After she came out of the water, she looked at us and said, "I'm pure!!" She bore the most powerful testimony in her cute southern accent. She talked about her conversion story and bore testimony of the restored gospel. I know her family members benefited from hearing it and hopefully they will be open to the gospel now! Afterwards we went to a member's pool and had a bbq and I got to say my goodbyes to Ciera. She's my best friend and I know we will be in touch for the rest of our lives. She already has a trip planned next summer to visit me and Sister Ebert. Such a day full of Joy!!! I feel like I didn't do anything, she was already so prepared, I was just lucky enough to teach her.

Okay now for the hard day. Haha. So I got moved to Lexington! I was excited to be in the city again but they were only teaching one person! Coming from an area where we had 2-5 lessons a day. I was scared.

The only person we were teaching named Nichole texted us that's she's moving to North Carolina! So, we went over and helped her for 5 hours!! She bossed us around the whole time and was swearing and not being very polite. I had to hold her cat down while she gave it a shot, clean wet cat food, and do a lot of other nasty things (you can laugh). It was tough and every time we would try to leave, she would say no no you have to stay. We only got one quick thank you at the end when she was driving away. So now we have nobody to teach, and my anxiety has been pretty bad. The ward is great though and I know it'll all work out. I just gotta be honest with my weekly email readers. ;)
