Macy + America's Birthday W50

This week was a week of celebrating! On the fourth we had a BBQ with the Elders in our district. We also played pickleball and watched a devotional while the fireworks were going off. Definitely a 4th of July to remember.

Then... the next day the real celebration began because it was MY birthday. I can't believe I'm 20!! Luckily, zone conference fell on my b-day, so I got to see all my friends in our zone and even gave a training on my b-day (which is not my fav thing) but it went really good!!! The Marshallese sisters made me a cake shaped as a fidget spinner (iykyky) #tryandkeepup. We went over to my Kentucky grandparent's house for dinner with our friend Ciera that's getting baptized soon. They got me an Oreo cake and we taught about tithing! Best day! But It doesn't stop there.... thanks to Kristen + Ty we got to go to Texas Roadhouse. I got to ride the saddle and see our friend Ryan who we are teaching that works there.

On Sunday, we found ourselves at a Burmese Baptist church, it was intense. They had some legit preachers and some fun live performances it felt like I was at a concert. We got to see our fav girls all dressed up in their traditional dress. Look at the pics below!

Okay Terra! Y'all, she's incredible. She's the one who referred herself on Facebook to meet with us that lives in the middle of nowhere, Rockport Indiana. She's actually a member but has been inactive since she was 12. Well, she came to church for her first time in like 30 years and she even picked up one of our friends that we were teaching! She participated in relief society and told us she thinks she going to sign up to go on a mission. She posted on Facebook that we were her fav people ever and she loved church and that it was the only true church. She has also been giving us so many referrals!!! During our lesson this week, she told us a few years ago she paid someone $375 to hypnotize her so she wouldn't smoke. Well, it didn't end up working hahah. She's a hoot.

Other than that, we visited a bunch of inactive members and a lot of interesting ppl. There are like 800 members in Owensboro, and I think maybe 100 are somewhat active so there's lots of work to be done. I love each of you lots. Thanks for reaching out and helping me feel so loved on my birthday. I just realized I should probably start sharing spiritual thoughts or something. But I promise I'm growing spiritually too!! The Church is so true people!
