Thursday Night In Kentucky W41

Okay I love being a missionary but this week I LOVED being a missionary!

Picture this, it's a Thursday night in Owensboro Kentucky. What am I doing? Well, I'm at a 17-year old's birthday party. Everyone is speaking Karen I have no idea what's going on. Somebody says a 15 min long prayer and then we start eating noodles. I got a traditional Karen dress this week. So, I guess I'm official!! I love being a missionary you get to have so many moments where you just sit there and think, "what is going on?!?"

We met the most incredible lady named Tamara. She is so prepared and has the biggest heart. Here's a reason why I'm out here: I felt prompted to let her know God loved her because you could tell she wasn't sure if she was doing enough. I got to look her in the eyes and tell her with complete confidence that God loved her so much and was aware of where she was at that exact moment. She teared up a little. It felt like for a second I could see her through God's eyes. Coolest experience. I haven't been this excited about a new person in awhile!!

So many people showed up at church! Our friend Elizabeth who got her records removed from the church 40 years ago came back for her first time!!! She was loving it and stayed for relief society and met so many new friends. We are teaching her and she is so ready to fully commit to coming back. So cool to see God work through returning members. A whole inactive Karen family came and lots of our Karen friends came as well!

Other than that, we met some incredible people this week, taught lots of lessons, had lots of meetings, did some spirit lead door knocking (which is now allowed in our mission), and went to MLC and celebrated my Comps 20th birthday in Louisville (we got to eat incredible sushi on Steve)!!!!
