Last Minute Transfer:'/ W16
Well, this week went just about the opposite that I expected it to. About 30 min before we were headed to transfers, I got a text from my Mission President asking if he could call me. I immediately started to panic and said yes. He called and told me that the spirit had been working on him all night and told him that I needed to join the DFTC (digital finding & teaching coordinators) He said all transfer he has been feeling that way and he asked me if I would have faith and follow what the Lord wants me to do. I said yes of course but my heart is a little broken. I loved my area sooooo much and I had so many plans.
We quickly got in the car and drove to say bye to some of the people I was teaching but I didn't get to say bye to any members or a good chunk of our people. Once we got to transfers, I met my could have been trainee and she's the cutest thing. One day we will be comps I know it!!
Being a DFTC sister means STLs and honorary saps;) so I am just a little stressed out of my mind because that is a lot of responsibility for just out of training sister Robbins. As DFTCs we have LOTS of meetings, and we give trainings to the whole mission multiple times a week. Talking in front of large groups ain't my jam so this is where I will lean on my Savior. It has lots of perks too, I get my own laptop and we are always so busy. We live right next to the temple and our Mission President, so we get to go over there and have dinner and help them out with whatever they need!
My new area I'm serving in is called Crestwood, it's beautiful here and I've already met some amazing people. My favorite people I've met so far are Ken and Linda! Ken was baptized a couple months ago and now his wife is taking the lessons. They are the sweetest, cutest couple and I will put a picture of them below. Ken bore his testimony in stake conference and called me Robbin. I was just so happy while I was listening to his sweet testimony.
I finally taught someone with face tattoos, this has been my one goal on my mission. We have been working with a returning member named Nathaniel and geez that was the most powerful lesson I have ever been a part of. We really talked about the atonement, and I shared some personal things I felt prompted to say and he just has the realest intent I've ever seen.
Fun facts: Elder Bednar's son is my stake president and in my ward, and we are next door neighbors with the APs!
