In My Element W18
This week was just too good to be true!! I learned how to play the ukulele, a member gave us boujee sushi, I had Cafe Rio ranch for the first time in a while, went to a church in a strip mall, received a hand painted BoM from Ella, and trained at some district councils.
Let me tell you how my Thanksgiving went because I know y'all are dying to hear! We had the best dinner at a member's home. Their home was so cozy, and the food was amazing. There were four great big dogs at your feet at all times. We met some incredible people and there was a couple from SUU there! How cool is it that I just get to barge into a random family's home for Thanksgiving? I just love missions. After our dinner we headed over to our mission presidents for dessert and hung out in the basement. I ended the night FaceTimeing my family and we all played secret Hitler. I just had the most amazing Thanksgiving!!
We had some great lessons this week, but I think my favorite was with this lady named Elwanda and her brother Kenny. I had never met them before, but on exchanges we decided to stop by, and it worked out perfectly. It was a little janky, the smell of smoke was so strong there, and 3 cats were jumping around but I was loving it. That is when I'm in my element, I swear the most powerful lessons are in the most odd environments. The spirit can really preside anywhere.
My highlight of the week was helping my mission President and his wife set up Christmas in their home! We got to go over twice this week to help them. I got to decorate the tree which made me feel right at home because that is my favorite job. Our president was not feeling well and when we were eating lunch with them, he dropped the gravy everywhere and then 5 min later the mash potatoes hahaha.
I am grateful for each and every one of you. Please reach out to me if you need anything or extra prayers.
