Can't Stop Laughing W5

Heyo!! This week has been interesting and hilarious to say the least. This week I shook a man's hand and realized there was blood all over it, fasted and prayed lots, had interviews with president, cleaned up drug needles all over somebody's yard, saw many small miracles, laughed so hard, and got asked out to dinner a couple times, we love the city, haha.

I wanna talk about Timesha she is progressing so fast and is definitely taking up our challenge of reading the Book of Mormon! She told us she found out it was true while she was praying, she had the strongest feeling of light and peace in her heart! It's so cool to see Moroni's promise come to life!!! She's praying about when she wants to be baptized! She asked for work off on Sundays and we got her there this Sunday.

We had a hilarious fast and testimony meeting so we were really scared it was gonna scare off Timesha. We have a lady in my ward who claims that she has the priesthood get up to the pulpit and my companion grabbed my leg because we were scared she was gonna say something crazy because she is known for that. Luckily, she was her calmest she's been, but she still did her evil laugh and kept saying, "the father told me to tell this congregation...." The next guy started saying some Jewish chat. I actually had to bite my tongue from laughing because so much was going on. There were a couple other people that bore their testimonies and I wish I could explain them all but it's hard to understand if you don't know them. Right after church Timesha said she can't wait to come back on Sunday. So, something must've gone right!!

Since I'm technically in the YSA I've been able to go to institute! It's been so much fun and me and the teacher are buds. One thing he said this week that I love is, "Humble yourself suck it up and choose God." Just because the world is changing doesn't mean doctrine will change. Jesus Christ never once withheld his love from anyone but also never did he once say, I love you, so you are exempt from following my commandments. The world is becoming more and more accepting of certain sins, but that doesn't mean it's more acceptable to commit these sins. Luckily, we don't have to worry because we have a LIVING PROPHET on the earth RIGHT NOW. Take advantage of that because that has not always been the case. D&C 1:38 Have the best week and reach out to me if you need some extra prayers!! Macy.robbins@missionary.org
